Athena Swan is an internationally recognised accreditation for gender equity, diversity and inclusion in the higher education and research sector, aimed at improving gender equity.
Murdoch University has a long-standing commitment to the values of equity and social justice, shown through our academic and professional activities, and has achieved the Athena Swan Bronze Accreditation in 2020.
Our work
Problem
Users seek clear information on gender equity initiatives, wanting to see real progress and accessible support resources. They struggle with fragmented information, motivated to find clear pathways to support and feel included in EDI communities.
Users want credible, visually compelling, and engaging content that holds their attention and conveys important information effectively.
Solution
This site needed to inform, inspire, and connect users through clear content, strong visuals, and a focus on community engagement.
The Athena Swan at Murdoch University website needs to be a professional, accessible, and engaging platform that highlights Murdoch’s commitment to Gender Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
Outcome
This project successfully delivered a professional, accessible, and engaging Athena Swan at Murdoch website, exceeding client expectations and directly addressing user needs.
The site now informs, inspires, and connects, providing clear progress and support while eliminating information disjointedness through intuitive navigation and engaging content.
Services
Website design, branding was part of the guidelines we needed to follow for this project.
This was a group project, but my specific responsibilities included:
- Creating Home Page Wireframe,
- HTML & CSS coding, PHP & Widget coding,
- All Page Content Implementation,
- Cygnet Page Design,
- Creating Handover Packet.
